Which DNS hosts and email providers the Setup beta covers
Google Workspace at seven DNS hosts, and what to do anywhere else
Updated 26 October 2026
The SpamCipher Setup extension is in beta. It sets a domain up from start to finish when the domain's email is at Google Workspace and its DNS is at one of seven hosts. For anything else, SpamCipher shows the exact records to add yourself, and more providers follow as people ask for them.
Note: Both parts must hold: the email at Google Workspace, and the DNS at one of the seven hosts.
Before you start
- Your domain added under Authenticate domain on Email Accounts
- About 3 minutes
What the beta covers
Step 1: Email at Google Workspace
- Your domain's email lives at Google Workspace, or will once it is set up.
- Microsoft 365 and other email providers are not in the beta yet.
Step 2: DNS at one of seven hosts
- Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Hostinger, IONOS (ionos.com and ionos.ca), Namecheap, Porkbun and Spaceship.
- SpamCipher reads your domain's nameservers to know where its DNS is, so you do not need to tell it.
Step 3: How each host is set up
- At Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Hostinger, Porkbun and Spaceship, the extension makes an access key on your account and SpamCipher writes the records through it.
- At IONOS and Namecheap, the extension adds the records on their own pages, signed in as you.
If your domain is outside the beta
Step 4: Add the records yourself
- The Authenticate domain panel says your domain is outside the beta and lists each record to add, with Copy buttons.
- See How to set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC for your domain for the steps.
Step 5: Ask for your provider
- Tell us which DNS host or email provider you use through Help or Cipher. Requests decide which providers come next.
