How affiliate commission works
What you earn on each customer you refer, for how long, and when it is paid
Updated 14 October 2026
As a SpamCipher affiliate you share your link. When someone signs up through it and pays for SpamCipher ONE, you earn a share of every plan payment they make: 30% for their first 12 months, then 10% for as long as they stay. Your partner area shows your rate, your referrals and what you have earned.

How a customer becomes yours
Step 1: Through your link
- A click on your link counts for 60 days. If the person clicks someone else's link after yours, the last click counts.
- The customer must be new to SpamCipher. Someone who already owns a workspace does not become your referral.
- The customer gets 10% off their first SpamCipher ONE purchase: the first three months on monthly billing, or the first invoice on annual billing.
What you earn
Step 2: The rate
- 30% of each plan payment for the first 12 months, counted from the customer's first payment.
- 10% of each plan payment after that, for as long as the subscription runs.
Step 3: Monthly and annual plans
- A monthly payment earns one commission line.
- An annual payment is split into 12 monthly parts, so if the customer leaves partway through the year, the rest stops.
Step 4: Refunds and your own purchases
- If a payment is refunded or disputed, the commission on it is taken back in proportion.
- Signing up through your own link does not count. When a buyer's details match yours, the commission is held for review.
When you are paid
Step 5: The hold and the payout
- Each commission line becomes due 30 days after the month it is for, so refunds can clear first.
- Payouts are made on the 15th to everyone whose due commission is $50 or more. A smaller amount waits until it reaches $50.
- Before your first payout, add your PayPal address and your tax details under Get paid in your partner area.
Troubleshooting
A referral is on hold
Its details matched your own account, or something about it needs a look. We check it before anything is paid. Contact us if you think it is a mistake.
I was not paid on the 15th
Check that your due commission is $50 or more and that your PayPal address and tax details are saved under Get paid.
A customer says they used my link but they are not in my referrals
The click counts for 60 days and only for a new customer. If they clicked another link after yours, that one counts.
