Ask Cipher to make a domain ready for outbound

Type your domain, approve the plan, and Cipher takes it to ready

Updated 26 October 2026

Tell Cipher the domain you want to send from and ask it to make it ready for outbound. Cipher adds the domain, asks what it needs to know, shows you the setup plan, and once you approve it, hands it to the Setup extension. Then it connects you to a mailbox, turns on warm-up and tells you when the domain is ready.

Note: Cipher never asks for passwords, codes or keys in chat. You sign in at each provider in your own browser.

Before you start

  • The SpamCipher Setup extension added to Chrome, for domains in the beta
  • About 5 minutes, plus the setup itself

Ask Cipher

Step 1: Type your request

  • Open Cipher and type, for example: Make acme.com ready for outbound.

Step 2: Answer its questions

  • Cipher asks where your domain's email lives if it cannot tell, and which IONOS site you sign in to if your DNS is at IONOS.

Step 3: Approve the plan

  • Cipher shows the setup plan, grouped by where each step happens, and a card to start it. Approving the card is the same as pressing Start on the setup screen.

While it runs

Step 4: The setup moves to your browser

This step happens outside SpamCipher.

  • Cipher hands the setup to the Setup extension, which opens Google Admin and your DNS host in new tabs. Sign in where you are asked.

Step 5: Ask how it is going

  • Ask Cipher how the setup is going at any time. It tells you the step it is on, and exactly what to do when it is your turn.

After it is authenticated

Step 6: Connect a mailbox and start warm-up

  • Cipher takes you to connect a mailbox on the domain, then turns warm-up on for it, and tells you when every part of the domain is ready.

Troubleshooting

Cipher says my domain is outside the beta.

Your DNS host or email provider is not in the beta yet. Cipher shows the records to add yourself, and can write them for you when your DNS is connected with a key.
