Refer a friend and earn credits

Share your code or link, and you and your friend each get 2,000 credits when they buy

Every SpamCipher customer has a referral code and a link. When a friend starts a new SpamCipher account through your link, or types your code before their first purchase, you both get 2,000 credits as soon as they buy SpamCipher ONE or their first credit pack.

Note: The credits land on your pay-as-you-go balance, which never expires. Yours go to the workspace you were in when you first opened Refer a friend.
Note: You can have up to 20 referrals in any 12 months.
Note: A SpamCipher partner or affiliate earns through the partner program instead. For them, Refer a friend points to the partner area.
Note: A client of an agency does not see Refer a friend. Referrals from that workspace belong to the agency that runs it.

Before you start

  • A SpamCipher account
  • About 3 minutes

Step 1: Open Refer a friend

  • Click Settings at the bottom of the left menu, then the Refer a friend tab.

Step 2: Copy your code or your link

  • Your code is what a friend types in. Your link takes them to SpamCipher with your code already attached.
  • Click Copy next to the one you want to share, then send it to your friend.
  • Friends who used it counts everyone who joined with your code or link. Credits earned is what their purchases have given you so far. Last 12 months shows how many of your 20 referrals for the last 12 months you have used.

How a referral counts

Step 3: How your friend uses it

  • Through your link. A click on your link counts for 60 days. If your friend clicks more than one person's link, the last one counts.
  • Or with your code. In a new account, before they buy anything, your friend clicks Have a friend's code? under Refer a friend or on the Pricing page and types your code.
  • It only works for a brand new account. Someone who already owns a SpamCipher workspace cannot become your referral.

Step 4: When the credits arrive

  • Nothing is added when your friend signs up. The credits arrive when they first buy SpamCipher ONE or a credit pack.
  • At that moment you get 2,000 credits and so does your friend, once. A second purchase does not add more.

Step 5: The limit of 20 a year

  • You can have 20 referrals in any 12 months. Once you reach 20, a new sign-up through your link is simply not a referral, and your code is turned down until an older referral is more than a year old.

Troubleshooting

I see a message about the partner area instead of a code

Your account is a SpamCipher partner or affiliate. Share your partner link from Partner program in the menu under your name; it earns commission rather than credits.

My friend bought but I did not get credits

The credits come only if your friend joined through your link or typed your code before their first purchase, in an account that was new. Check that they used your code, then contact us from the menu under your name.

My friend's code was turned down

Your friend may already have 20 referrals this year, or your workspace may be older than 60 days or have bought something already. The message under the code box says which.
